Craftsman Front Entry Rebuild
Reframed entry opening, new craftsman entry door, and fresh drywall through the front room as part of a broader main-floor refresh.

The existing entry opening was undersized and out of square. Layers of texture and patch history covered the front-room drywall, and the door itself had a hollow-core feel that undercut the rest of the house.
What the client wanted this project to accomplish.
- Reframe the entry opening to accept a full-size craftsman door
- Rip out and re-hang drywall through the front room
- Prep the room for a clean paint-grade finish
Conditions we designed and built around.
- Existing opening was out of square and undersized
- Old drywall had multiple texture layers that had to come out cleanly
- Weather sealing at the entry had to be maintained during the swap
Every line item, priced and planned before demo.
- Entry opening reframed and squared for new door
- New craftsman-style entry door and hardware
- Old drywall removed through front room
- Fresh drywall hung, taped and skim-coated
- Prime and finish paint prep
The details that separate a good build from a great one.
- Entry opening reframed square and plumb for the new door

- Drywall hung, taped and skim-coated to a paint-grade finish

In ProgressThe front of the house finally matches the rest of the home. The door reads as intentional, the drywall is flat and quiet, and the entry no longer looks like the oldest room in the house.
Let's talk about your home.
Whether you're planning a full renovation or a single thoughtful update, every project starts with one short, no-pressure conversation.
